Topping Audio has collaborated with Holo Audio to launch a brand new fully balanced 8 channel R2R Dac.

 It features 8 resistor array networks, distributed across both sides of the circuit board, creating a unique fully balanced configuration. Four resistor arrays on the front side are dedicated to DSD decoding, employing what is termed a " Vector Step Resistance Network", while the other four arrays on the reverse side handle PCM decoding, utilising the classic R2R structure.

The high-performance decoding unit, powered by an CPLD, ensures exceptional sound and precise audio reproduction.

The Centaurus comes with three switching modes : OS Mode you can manually select different oversampling rate, NOS Mode bypasses the oversampling and decodes at the original sample rate, Best Mode automatically selects the optimal oversampling rate based on the source sampling rate.

You can make all these adjustments by its 2 inch full colour display screen and three touch buttons and includes three choices of background screens (Vu meters, Eq format, Standard).

Also included is a PEQ thats supports ten customisable frequency bands which can be adjusted through the PC software. Streaming Bluetooth to this Dac can be done as it is equipped with a QCC5125 Chip and can support up to 96Khz/24bit and also supports LDAC/aptX-Adaptive/AptX/aptX HD/AAC/SBC and other audio encoding allowing your music to be streamed at high quality.

In addition to the fixed output level output mode the Centaurus also has a preamp mode so you can directly connect this unit to power amplifiers and control the output to them.

The Centaurus is also a great partner to the A70pro Headphone Amplifier and can be synchronised using the 12volt trigger enable on/off in perfect harmony.
